Background: The ITU-R WP8F will have a meeting in Cameroon from Wednesday, January 17, to Thursday, January 25, 2006. This Working Party is responsible for the overall system aspects of IMT-2000 and beyond. Significant progress has been made in WP8F on the work towards WRC-07 on the Agenda Item 1.4. Since the meeting is placed in Cameroon it offers a possibility for African Administrations to receive information about the progress of work towards WRC-07 prior to the actual WP8F meeting, and by experts who have been involved in this activity. It is also of high value for the members of the industry group (mib) to receive information and views from African Administrations & Governments.
